The next informational class for new members, visitors, or anyone who would like to know more about the United Methodist Church and especially Smyrna First UMC will begin on Sunday, August 1st, and continue through August. The 5-sessions will meet during Sunday School hour, 8:30 am, in Fellowship Hall. Speakers from different areas within our church will share ways to become more involved within the church-missions, fellowship, service, and study. There are 11 Adult Bible Study Classes to choose from that meet at 10:00am each Sunday morning. Being involved in a Bible Study class helps us to share the Christian journey together each week!
Couples - A mixed group of couples and singles, ranging from the 50's to retirement age who follow the Standard International Bible Study. Meets in Room 308.
Crossworkers - A caring and fun-loving class of a variety of ages that uses current curriculum to learn from the Bible the best way to live today. Meets in Room 310.
Happy Christians- A loving, caring and welcoming group with a vast depth of experience and knowledge who use the International Bible Study Series. Meets in Room 205.
Motley Christians - A diverse group in all aspects of age(20's-60's), church up-bringing, place in life and perspective. The name says it all! The class does independent book study with a teaching style of each lesson standing independently. Meets in Room 303.
Pairs & Spares - A mission oriented class of singles and couples who use the Adult Bible Studies for a discussion based Bible study. Meets in Room 307.
Searchers - Men and women of all ages who study a variety of Bible-based topics, with much discussion and inquiry within the group. Meets in Room 207.
The Gathering - College Age to Early 30's. Discussions of life when you;'re just beginning. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20 Meets in Room 305.
Willing Workers/Fellowship- Youthful senior ladies who love studying the Bible, using Adult Bible Studies, and who love the fellowship among the group. Meets in Room 201.
Wings- A mixed age women's class that focuses on women's issues through prayer, fellowship, and a deeper understanding of God's Word. Meets in Room 306.
Young Adults - Young adults who apply Bible lessons to family life. We welcome all newcomers and those of all ages. Meets in Room 309.
Young Men- A dedicated group of men who enjoy studying God's Word. We compare situations faced by today's believers to those of yesteryear and draw conclusions that help us better serve God, our community and our country. Meets in Room 203.
