Smyrna First United Methodist Church is centered upon the life of Christ, accepting and loving all persons and living out the life of Christ in the community/world.

We are a dynamic, growing faith community in Smyrna, TN about 20 miles southeast of Nashville.  Our community has experienced much growth and change over the past 20 years.  In light of that, Smyrna First strives to be faithful to the great heritage of our church, yet also strives to meet the needs of an ever changing society.  Great things have happened here, and we believe greater things are yet to come.  One thing we know... the Spirit of God is at work here--Come join us!!

Recently the Church Council voted on a request made by the Missions Committee to begin a Hispanic Ministry here at Smyrna First.  Details are still being worked out.  Bro. Joe will be taking the lead on the worship service, and you are invited during the next two Sunday mornings, during our Fellowship time, to direct to him any questions you have concerning this service.  Please be in prayer that God will work through this Ministry to bring others to Christ.

From June 1st through August 31st, the Church office hours will be 7AM-4PM.

The next informational class for new members, visitors, or anyone who would like to know more about the United Methodist Church and especially Smyrna First UMC will begin on Sunday, August 1st, and continue through August.  The 5-sessions will meet during Sunday School hour, 8:30 am, in Fellowship Hall.  Speakers from different areas within our church will share ways to become more involved within the church-missions, fellowship, service, and study.  For more information or to RSVP, contact the church office, Patsy Ray, 355-1336, or Gwen Coulson, 459-4930.
